Job Schemes for Young People
Good news young people. If you're aged 16-24 and unemployed you could get meaningful paid employment and training with the Government's new job Kickstart Scheme.
What's it about?
In July 2020, the Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced plans to protect, create and support jobs in England, Scotland and Wales.
The government has pledged to invest 2 billion pounds into this new scheme to prevent mass unemployment due to the knock on effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy. They are particularly interested in protecting the future prospects of young people, like yourselves, who are amongst those most affected by this economic turn.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to get more money, improve your skills, gain valuable work experience and pave the way to a brighter future.
What this means for you
Hundreds of new Traineeship work placements if you have little or no work experience, the Traineeship Programme could be ideal for you.
