13th January 2021 - Remote Learning Delivery Plan
Central Training Group and its Subcontractors are dedicated to continuing to provide a range of learning activities delivered remotely by Live Teams, Zoom, Edmodo and other learning platform sessions to every learner during the on-going Covid situation and lockdown to allow learners to progress.
Qualification theory for all subjects delivered via Zoom and a range of learning platforms.
Online zoom practical demonstrations delivered via Zoom and MHD sessions
Activities and assignments are posted on the learning platform weekly to be researched and completed.
Daily online demonstrations by Edward Hemmings available for all learners across CTG to access.
Care and equipment packages are sent to learners to ensure that they have the resources at home to enable them to complete practical training.
Learners to complete practical workshops by submitting photographs of the work that has been completed on blocks or members of their household.
Recap sessions and revision activities on vocational theory take place throughout lockdown.
Feedback is provided to all learners via one-to-one tutorials, the learning platform and review and target setting sessions.
Vocationally related support calls to support independent learning.
English, Maths, Support, FBV & Mentoring
English sessions delivered to learners weekly via zoom.
Maths sessions delivered to learners weekly via zoom.
Additional one-to-one support English and maths via zoom, WhatsApp Video calls and telephone.
All learners receive weekly well-being calls.
All learners have access to a learner mentor for support and guidance.
Safeguarding updates and activities.
Fundamental British Value sessions and assignments.
Personal development, safeguarding, and well-being advice and guidance is provided weekly via thought provoking activities.
Use of online learning resources to support delivery of maths and English sessions.
Stretch, Challenge and Enrichment Activities
Cross department/vocational subjects such as make-up, beauty and hair to be delivered to learners.
Research assignments set to learners to prepare them for progressing to the next level.
Hairstyling competitions with prizes set for all learners.
Learners receive additional learning sessions/resources on topics in higher level qualifications to prepare for progression.

4th January 2021 - National Lockdown Announcement
Following the announcement on Monday 4th January about the national lockdown:
Colleges, primary and secondary schools will remain open only for vulnerable learners. All other learners will learn remotely until February half term.
Further information regarding the return to online learning will be provided from 4th January. Your tutor/centre will also be in touch with you to confirm the arrangements during the first week of return. If you would like to contact us then please email us at email@example.com.

1st December 2020 Covid-19 Lockdown Update
Lockdown will end this week on Wednesday 2nd December. With various parts of England going into Tier 2 (high alert) or Tier 3 (very high alert) affecting many of our training centres and employers. Please find out more about what the Tiers mean for you here: Local Restriction Tier Information
Whilst neither of these two tiers requires Central or any of our employers to close, it is important to understand the close contact services rules:
The rating of areas into tiers is being reviewed every fortnight from 2nd December based on the local situation with infection rates, deaths and the R rating.
Central will be closed over the Christmas break from Monday 21st December 20 until Monday 4th January 2021.
We understand you may have concerns about Covid-19.
Central Training Group takes the health and safety of its learners and staff very seriously.
We are monitoring the situation and in communication with Government guidelines we will issue advice and guidance as it becomes available.
The board of directors is communicating regularly to ensure we are prepared to respond proportionately and responsibly as the situation evolves.
We continue to monitor closely and follow official healthcare and government advice.
Following recent government requirements, Central Training Academy and Beauty Skills Academy will begin a phased re-opening of our colleges from:

Please be assured that we have strictly adhered to government expectations in providing a Covid Secure environment for our learners and staff.
Deep cleaned our centres and arranged the environment to promote and ensure that social distancing measures are implemented.
Instigated practices and procedures, to promote the safety and wellbeing for all users of our centres.
Every centre is fully equipped with a supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), sanitising gel, antibacterial spray and we have installed additional hand washing facilities.
Designed and planned learning schedules/timetables to promote a flexible and inclusive approach to blended teaching and learning.
Some learning will still continue via remote and online learning resources.
